Fundraising that works: The story of Pledge 450

Brighter partnered with the Childhood Cancer Association to bring their major fundraising campaign, Pledge 450, to life—helping raise over $45,000 in just one month.

The concept was simple but powerful: 450 families rely on the Association’s vital services, so participants were invited to take on a personal challenge inspired by the number 450. The result was a wave of community-led action, with more than 50 individuals stepping up and hundreds donating generously.

We developed a distinctive visual identity for the campaign, centred around playful, hopeful illustrations by Robert Mancini. This branding was rolled out across digital channels, social media, posters, print collateral, and merchandise—creating strong recognition and momentum.

The campaign not only captured hearts but also achieved real results. Pledge 450 has become a standout success story for the Association—and a blueprint for future fundraising.
